Think before you ink

Once upon a time tattoos lived in the realm of the alternative. They were for those of us who possessed a true rebellious streak, and were popular among drug dealers, prison inmates, and otherwise shady characters with a connection to society's dark and seedy underbelly. But with seemingly every second person under the age of thirty now sporting a tattoo of some kind, they've become little more than a fashion statement... and are now, as one writer put it, "as edgy as a padded watermelon."
Sure, there are plenty of tattoos that look okay. Some are even genuinely meaningful. But for every tattoo that doesn't become a source of embarrassment and regret, there are almost certainly three others (at the very least) that do.
And yes, you can get them lasered off, but you'll still be left with an ugly scar where your bad decision once lay, not to mention a significant dent in your bank account.
As for the senior-citizen-covered-in-tats look? Well...
