The maxi skirt
March 14th 2011 21:01
In 2009 it was all about the maxi dress - fast forward to 2011 and its skirt-ified cousin is enjoying its time in the sun. With a slimming silhouette, feminine vibe and ankle-brushing length, the maxi skirt was a feature of several major Spring/Summer 2011 shows, including those of Lanvin, MaxMara, Alberta Ferretti, and my personal favourite Jil Sander. And when it comes to colour choices - whether it's black, pastel, bright, floral or patterned - it seems that right now, just about anything goes.
The beauty of the maxi skirt lies in its versatility. A basic black maxi skirt will make you look elegant and refined, while a boldly patterned one in a flowing fabric will take on a more bohemian style and is ideal for those casual weekend get-togethers.

Needn't break the bank... these maxi skirts (and many more) are available from Supre for $40 or less.
