Famous singers and Hollywood stars have got it absolutely made when it comes to what they wear. If you're an A-lister like Angelina Jolie or Katie Holmes, you've got designers lining up around the block wanting to dress you. Most of the time the stars get their outfits for free - one of the many perks of being famous - and many have formed friendships through their work with the fashion elite.
Because they all go to fashion events, these stars mix with the top designers on a regular basis and so are always in the know when it comes to what trends to start - that is part of the job of being a celebrity. Fashion magazine editors (like Vogue's Anna Wintour) are also a part of this exclusive circle. Until women stop buying magazines - and let's face it, that's not going to happen anytime soon - designers will continue to push for the top stars to wear their creations. It's big business, and everyone knows it.
