Now what, I hear you ask, is sporty luxe? It's a combination of sportswear and shiny metallic fabrics, that can be worn during the day. Not only do you get the comfort of wearing clothes that would otherwise be relegated to the gym, you will be one step ahead of the fashion pack.
Not convinced? Then start small, with footwear. Shoe companies are now creating sneakers in shiny silver and gold, which look great teamed with leggings and a long cardie. From there you might consider buying a shiny jacket and teaming it with jeans. The point of sporty luxe is not to overdo it - you want to look casual yet well put-together. Wearing more than one piece of shiny sportswear is overkill.
This trend hasn't made it big in Australia just yet, but believe me, it will. I live in a fashionable part of Sydney and the highschool-aged girls have already cottoned onto this trend - expect lots of shiny sportswear appearing in stores later this year.
