SJP's fashion faux pas

She's known for being fashion savvy, so it was understandable that Sarah Jessica Parker was upset to learn that the dress she wore to the Sex and the City premiere in New York had actually been worn not once before, but twice.
Believing the dress to be one-of-a-kind, SJP told the New York Times that she was deeply disappointed to learn that the Nina Ricci dress had been worn by a New York socialite at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala last month, as well as being worn by Lindsay Lohan in a magazine spread for Harper's Bazaar in March.
"What they did was so short-sighted. It's just unethical and disappointing that they would allow the dress to be worn again," she told the newspaper.
During fittings for the shiny, strapless blue dress, SJP was assured by the designer that the dress had not been worn before, and was particularly disappointed that it had been paraded by professional train-wreck Lohan. Said Parker, "I just wish it had been handled differently and they had been straight about it."
