Well, here's your chance! An innovative Aussie website named Shoes of Prey allows you to select a basic design that you love (for me, it's the patent leather Mary Janes pictured below) and customize various aspects of the shoe's design, such as colour, heel height, toe styles and embellishments. It's perfect for those of us who are in that tough spot where we love fashion, but also need to look unique - it really is the best of both worlds.
The founder of Shoes of Prey, Jodie Fox, knows a thing or two about the lengths a girl can go to in order to find the perfect shoe. A former lawyer and then advertising executive, Fox would make endless trips to a special shoe maker who could create her ideal shoe. It was the realization that she wasn't the only bespoke shoe lover out there that led to the launching of Shoes of Prey. Thanks to Fox and her friends, everyone now has the opportunity to become part-time shoe designers, and wear custom-made shoes that also happen to be right on trend.
While the shoes themselves are not cheap - most are around the $250 mark - for any genuine shoe lover this is a small price to pay for sexy heels, wedges or flats that really are catered to their personal tastes.
