The future's looking bright for digital prints

February 23rd 2010 02:07
If you're sick of wearing metallics and stripes, and sequins just look sad, then it could be time to embrace the hottest new look on the celebrity circuit: digital prints! These bold, computerized patterns look fabulous on dresses and leave little need for further accessorising. Wear them with monochromatic shoes, a subtle handbag and a confident attitude, and your look will put you light years ahead of the rest of the fashion pack.

Bold, edgy and very modern

The digital print has been a popular feature of many fashion shows over the last few months and has recently become a red carpet regular too, with the likes of Leighton Meester and Amanda Seyfried among the bright young things who are pioneering this trend. Because the graphics are not limited in their patterns and colours, you literally have an endless array of options available to you, and can pick and choose which digital print represents your own personal style the best.

One thing to remember is that it's important to keep the pattern/skin balance in check: you want to be wearing the digital print, not have it wearing you! This is why it works so well in minidress form, and why you should be very careful before selecting a maxi with such a bold pattern. Otherwise just about anything goes when it comes to wearing the most graphic pattern of them all.
