Black leggings: Still on-trend

There are some trends that just refuse to die, but when the item in question is versatile, comfortable, flattering and affordable, it makes sense that it would stick around season after season. Black leggings are one of these trends. They've been big news for years now, both in the celeb circuit and on the street, and look as though they're going to remain a major wardrobe staple this winter.
Lately celebs have taken to wearing shiny versions, but for day wear the matte look is far more appropriate. Cropped leggings look best worn under a dress with flats, while longer leggings can be worn with a regular top (if you're comfortable with your derriere). Personally I think they look best with a long loose-fitting top and boots, but the beauty of black leggings - aside from their comfort - is their extreme versatility.
