Australian Fashion Week 2011: Week's End
May 7th 2011 19:17
RAFW has wrapped for another year! But before we take a closer look at the emerging trends of the Spring/Summer 2011/12 season I'd like to show you some of my favourite looks from Day Five: specifically, those of Toni Maticevski (who is back in Oz after a five year absence), Saint Augustine Academy (a local favourite fronted by music-loving creative director Alvin Manalo), and Bowie (theatrical bridal couture and evening wear at its decadent best). Note: if any of the pics are too small for a proper look, click to enlarge them in a new tab. Fashion Peach readers, commence your scrolling... now.
I'll be posting my roundup of key styles and emerging trends in a few days' time, so check back next week for the final verdict on Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2011. Hope you enjoyed this year's coverage and I'll be seeing you all again very soon!
Toni Maticevski's nature-inspired collection showed that attention to detail yields stunning results
Elegance with an edge: draped fabrics in crisp white and classic black (LOVE the dress on the right!)
Saint Augustine Academy mixed a gothic Lolita style with sexy rock star chic (leather fringing plus collared shirt = awesome)
The models' ethereal hair and makeup featured a thick braid at the hairline and heavy lashings of mascara
Gorgeously gilded evening style by Saint Augustine Academy for the upcoming 2011/12 Spring/Summer season
