Australian Fashion Week 2010: Week's End
May 8th 2010 00:59
Rosemount Australian Fashion Week has come to a close for another year, but before we give a closer analysis of the up-and-coming trends, let's take a look at the collections that were shown on the final day. Gary Bigeni's elegant draping and Ruby Smallbone's subtle but sexy cutouts were among my favourites; Ms Unkon did a quirky (but very cute) take on summer style; Gail Sorronda took things sky-high while Ksubi's look was something else entirely....
And that's it for another year! The verdict arrives soon....... as always, let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. Hope you all had a fabulous Fashion Week and are brimming with style inspiration for the warmer months ahead.
Ms Unkon's collection evoked images of the woodland nymph; models were accessorised with delicate tea roses and tree boughs
Ms Couture's brief cutouts were reminiscent of other Australian designers, but the sheer styles were something else entirely
Ms Couture's lingerie collection featured gothic black lace and a corset influence; it had the sexy vamp-factor without moving into trampy territory
And that's it for another year! The verdict arrives soon....... as always, let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. Hope you all had a fabulous Fashion Week and are brimming with style inspiration for the warmer months ahead.
