Australian Fashion Week 2010: Part Three

May 7th 2010 00:55
The old-school femininity of Jayson Brunsdon's designs and the fabulous ready-to-wear collection by Ae'lkemi; the jungle fever of Kirrily Johnston and the cute-as-a-button cossies by Anna & Boy; the futuristic designs of last year's sweetheart Dion Lee and the costume-y colour of Romance Was Born.... all have made an appearance on the catwalks of RAFW, and all are here for your viewing pleasure. Four days down and one to go!

Anna & Boy 2010
Super-cute floral swimcaps sat atop the models' noggins at Anna & Boy... love the freckles!

Anna & Boy 2010
Anna & Boy's models were allowed to show some personality as they presented the label's sweet and sexy designs

Kirrily Johnston 2010
Kirrily Johnston had a distinctly tribal theme...

Bianca Spender 2010
... while Bianca Spender accessorised her models' faces with feathers. Love the draping, not so sure about the brows!

Romance Was Born 2010
Romance Was Born outdid themselves with theatrical colour - this year's theme was 'Renaissance Dinosaur'

Fashion as art.

Dion Lee 2010

Aelkemi 2010
Ae'lkemi's designs were among my favourites for their classic sense of elegance and extreme wearability. Here they are in silver and white...

Today (Friday) marks the last day of Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, with the shows being concluded by the financially troubled but much-loved Aussie label Ksubi. I'll post the final set of photos tonight, then post my verdict on this year's collections in a few days' time.
